KINGMAN - Mrs. Gleela McAllister Day 72, of Indianapolis, a former Kingman resident, died Thursday morning (May 10, 1973) at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill two months. Born June 16, 1900, in Mellott, she was the daughter of Harley and Carrie Morgan McAllister. She was married in April of 1920 to Claude Day, who died in July of 1961. A 1920 graduate of Kingman High, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Indianapolis and 8 & 40 Auxiliary Post. She was a volunteer worker for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Norma Jeanne Peacock of Indianapolis; a son, Vernon Mac of Indianapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Benton and Mrs. Barbara Wesp, both of Detroit, Mich., and Miss Teresa McAllister and Mrs. Cleo Ellis, both of Kingman; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Seward. Services were Saturday at the chapel at Washington Park North Cemetery with entombment there. - jlr
